Metal Lathe Fundamentals - WDT

This course will equip students with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to use the metal lathe for precision machining operations in a hobby shop, home shop, or farm shop environment. The course covers machine safety, setup, maintenance, and operation of the metal turning lathe. This is a “hands-on” course that engages the students in projects designed to develop their skills in using the lathe. Training covers precision measurement, turning, facing, boring, threading, tapering, and knurling operations.
