Introduction to Computer Aided Drawings (CAD) - Belle Fourche

Discover the exciting world of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing in this hands-on, engaging class. Participants will learn the differences between hand-drawn and CAD-generated drawings, including Orthographic and Isometric views, while gaining practical experience using the SolidWorks CAD software. Students will explore essential design tools, create their own parts and assemblies, and learn how digital designs are transformed into physical objects through the Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) process and 3D printing. Participants are responsible for the cost of the plastic used to print their projects. A graduate college credit option is available through the University of Sioux Falls for an additional $50; registration is completed online. Heavy Equipment Training - Belle Fourche

The class is designed for individuals seeking to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. The class would be great for anyone wanting to learn this trade. Also, for contractors, the class could be training for your employees. The class is a basic introduction to heavy equipment operations. You will learn safety, maintenance, and technical aspects of the equipment, but you’ll be trained to operate heavy equipment that’s used in commercial and industrial construction. Each person will be given 4 hours on each simulator. The simulations will give you the skills and allow you to see what it is like to operate the “real thing”. NOTE: This class is at the same time as Intro to Woods. Please do not sign up for both.
Introduction to Woods and Cabinetry - Belle Fourche

This course provides an introduction to woodworking and cabinetry, emphasizing shop safety and the proper operation of all equipment in the wood shop. Students will gain hands-on experience by designing and constructing a small project of their choice. All project material costs are the responsibility of the individual student. NOTE: This class is at the same time as Heavy Equipment Tranning Class. Please do not sign up for both. NOTE: Students should be ready to provide instructor $50 for supplies on the first day of the class.
Introduction to Welding - Belle Fourche

The welding class provides foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in various welding techniques and safety practices. Designed for beginners and those looking to refine their skills, the class will cover essential welding methods, including stick and wire-feed welds. Depending on the progression, students will also learn the TIG weld. Safety is important; OSHA standards will be learned and followed.
