Creative Writing

In this eight week-long class, you’ll explore the art of creative writing through fun prompts, group activities, and supportive feedback. Whether you’re drawn to short stories, poetry, or something in between, you’ll experiment with different styles and discover your unique voice. No experience needed! You just have to bring your curiosity, a notebook of choice (if you have a preference), something to write with, and a willingness to play with words. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with new writing skills, fresh ideas, and a collection of your own creative pieces to be proud of.
Beginner Line Dance - Spearfish

Here is your opportunity to pick up a fun new skill that works both your body and brain! Join us for a lively session where you'll try out some of the latest line dances. These easy-to-learn steps offer a great workout for everyone, and it's something you can enjoy for years to come. Step by step instruction with repetition. You’ll be surrounded by other beginners who are all there for the exact same reason—to have fun and learn something new. Ages 10 yrs and above welcome! Class size limited.
Art of the Sword - Junior Edition

Kumdo & Kumbup is a Korean sword art that blends disciplined movement with focused, meditative practice. This class develops the mind, body, and spirit through techniques such as forms and partner work using bamboo and wooden swords. Training emphasizes awareness, precision, perseverance, and controlled, efficient motion. Led by certified instructors Mr. Greg and Mr. Adam, the class is open to all skill levels and body types. Students should wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle to each session. This class is geared towrds 11-18 years of age, but any one can register)
Beginner Cake Decorating Class

Ready to learn the art of cake decorating? This four-week beginner-friendly course will teach you the essential skills needed to create beautiful, delicious cakes from start to finish. Each week build on the previous lession, giving you hands-on experience and confidence in the kitchen. Week 1: Cake Batters. Week 2: Buttercreams. Week 3: Cake piping. Week 4: Assembly & Decorating. This class is perfect for beginners, hobby bakers, and anyone looking to develop foundational cake decorating skills in a fun and supportive environment. NOTE: $150 Supplie fee will be paid at the first class to Rustic Nook Bakery.
Intro to Financial Aid

“Money shouldn’t be the reason your future feels out of reach.” In this Financial Aid class, you’ll learn how to navigate scholarships, grants, loans, and budgeting so you can fund your education with confidence. We’ll break down the real costs of college and uncover strategies to minimize debt and maximize opportunities. By the end, you’ll have the tools to make informed financial decisions and take control of your academic journey. Joined by the finacial aid offices of BHSU, SDSMT, and WDT to answer all your questions.
Duo Dancing

This wonderful 5-week class is open to people of all ages and will teach lifelong enjoyment! So, get off the couch, grab a partner, and enjoy an energizing and inexpensive time together. We will cover learning the moves and steps of the Two-Step, Waltz, and Jitterbug together! Please note that any dance is great exercise and can be aerobic. Class size is limited. Tech Safety/Cybersecurity for Seniors - Sturgis
